I am returning to American Samoa to reconnect with my roots, build lasting relationships with our community, and begin the vital work of documenting our elders’ recipes and stories before they are lost. This film captures that homecoming, serving as the foundation for the Samoa Heritage Bridge. By recording the wisdom of our ancestors today, we are paving the way to bring our youth back to the islands tomorrow, ensuring they have a place to belong and a culture to claim as their own.
